First Snow of 2011

It's not a White Christmas, but it's still snow in North Texas!  Sara was very excited to see the HUGE flakes of snow coming down this morning.  She kept saying, "Santa...Santa...Ho...Ho...Ho!"  I think she really thought Mickey could save Santa today.  We spent some time early this afternoon out front playing and building Minnie Mouse, even though Sara was eating the snow Daddy was using for Minnie as fast as he could make her.  I think Mommy's bow, saved from Sara's first birthday cake, was the perfect finishing touch.  We hope that y'all enjoyed snuggling up with your loved ones today, too...Even if y'all didn't have the beautiful snow!

Happy 90th Birthday Grandma!

Today we went to Babe's to celebrate my grandma's 90th birthday!  Although Alzheimer's has taken away much of what I loved doing with her like reading the bible and praying, cooking, sewing, crafts, playing games...I could go on and on...I am still blessed to have her in my life.  Her living with Mom and Dad is certainly not easy on them, but deep down they wouldn't want it any other way...Even if Grandma doesn't remember to tell them how much she appreciates the care they provide for her.  I know that her time here on this Earth must be growing shorter by the day, but I also know that she is looking forward to her reunion in Heaven with Grandpa...That will be a bittersweet day.  Praying for the Lord to bless her year with health and clarity!

Happy New Year 2011! This blog is something we have been thinking about starting for quite some time as a way to better share our life with family and friends. We wanted to name our blog after one of our favorite bible verses, 1 Corinthians 13:13. We have faith in Him, hope in our future, and love for all of you!
